Vijay Varma had recently spoken of getting marriage proposals from Pakistan, France and Canada. Now the actor, who was seen with Alia Bhatt in the Netflix film Darlings, has opened up about managing finances in a relationship. In a new video, Vijay revealed to have ‘ ₹5000 a month” from a woman he once dated. The actor also said he was “broken” for most of his dating years. Earlier in September, Vijay said the online hate he received for his character Hamza in Darlings had now given way to marriage proposals for him. He had shared screenshots of some original proposals he received in his DMs after sharing a clip of himself on Instagram. However, in a final video featuring Vijay Varma, the actor opened up about his “tragic” love life.

The actor opened up about his love life in a new video shared by online dating app, Bumble India, where he said, “It’s very tragic because most of my love life has been when I was broke.” When asked if Vijay was a “fan” of prenuptial agreements before marriage, the actor replied, “I think that’s a very wise thing to do. Yeah.”

During the video, the actor also opened up about how awkward paying bills on a date can become for him. “There were girls, who were violently against me by paying… This girl, she gave me ₹5000 or something…per month…” Vijay was joined by social media personality Srishti Dixit in episode 3 of Bumble India Dating These Nights series.

Vijay was seen as Alia’s alcoholic and abusive husband in Darlings, which also starred Shefali Shah and Roshan Mathew. The film was released on Netflix on August 5. Apart from Mirzapur 3, Vijay’s upcoming projects include Dahaad with Sonakshi Sinha and Sujoy Ghosh’s Netflix movie with Kareena Kapoor and Jaideep Ahlawat. It is based on the 2005 Japanese novel, The Devotion of Suspect X.
