‘The Celebrity Dating Game’ Helps Nolan Gould & Gabriel Iglesias Find Love

Two other famous singles got a chance to love last night during The Celebrity Dating Game on ABC.

In the last episode, it was the turn of Modern family Nolan Gould and comedian Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias. They each had a choice of three mysterious women while hosts Zooey Deschanel and Michael Bolton organized the debates.

Bolton once again stole the show by singing classic songs with custom lyrics for the two celebrities, giving the mystery contestants their own clues hinting at who they are.

Nolan Gould on The Celebrity Dating Game

Gould is better known as Luke Dunphy in Modern family, a role he played for 11 seasons and 250 episodes until it ended last year.

The 22-year-old had a choice of three single women during his segment of The Celebrity Dating Game. Contestants were Australian social media manager Rose Rosenfeld, Medina Ali and digital marketer Amber Blu.

Gould’s attention was first caught by Blu’s story of being penniless in Cancun before earning a few pesos at a strip club. He was less impressed when Ali, 24, tried to sing him a song about herself.

In a weekly segment of the show, Bolton performed a classic song whose lyrics have been altered to give the three contestants clues as to who they are targeting fame. He reworked “What the world needs now is love,” but neither of the women could guess it was Gould on the other side of the screen.

He was eventually influenced by Rosenfeld’s new hobby, scuba diving, and his desire to swim with whale sharks. Gould chose her for a date and both candidates seemed delighted with the choice.

Gabriel Iglesias on The Celebrity Dating Game

Iglesias finished second on The Celebrity Dating Game and before toasting his three candidates, he said he was a standing guy, a nod to his comedy profession, looking to settle down.

Fluffy, as it’s known, had a choice between animal rights activist Crystal Wenrick, hair extension business owner Alexandra Cristin, and administrative assistant Kimmy Burns.

Bolton slowed things down with his wonderful rendition of “Because You Loved Me” with lyrics mentioning Iglesias’ roles in Magic mike, Nut work and All that.

Alexandra seemed to understand who Iglesias was, stating that he was the smallest, fluffiest comedian and that she “knew his face and couldn’t wait to kiss it”.

Eventually, he chose Burns for a date after she convinced him of his desire to make chocolate and his claim that his back was the best feature of his body.

Who else is on The Celebrity Dating Game?

Next week’s episode of The Celebrity Dating Game features two beautiful celebrities. Tyson Beckford is the first follow-up to Carmen Electra in an episode that airs Monday, July 19 at 10 p.m. ET on ABC. The following week, actor David Koechner and athlete Rashad Jennings will be in the hot seat.

Previous stars who have been on this series include Iggy Azalea, Nicole Byer, Carson Kressley and Taye Diggs.
