Hello everyone, I’m Jae Yoo, founder of Studio Sai. We are a small, fully remote indie studio with developers working in several different countries. After working so hard for the past two years on our first game, it’s truly surreal for me to finally be able to reveal Eternights to the world!
So what is Eternights?
Eternights is an action and dating game where you try to make the most of life during the apocalypse. So you scavenge for supplies, explore dungeons… and go on dates. Please watch the trailer below to get an idea of what to expect in our game, coming to PS4 and PS5 early next year, and you can preview our brand new trailer below.
There’s so much to look forward to in Eternights so here’s a taste of what to expect in our game:
Confront the Infected
One day, something or someone turned humans into dangerous monsters. All they care about now is violence and power. They are what stands between you, a cure, and the world you want.
Date survivors
Some of you might be curious what the dating part of a “dating action game” is. Dating is…well…dating. When you’re not exploring the dungeons, you can choose to spend time getting close to a cast of five quirky and lovable characters. As you explore their stories and get closer to them, you also unlock unique skills and spells that you can use in battle.
Manage your calendar
There are time limits for completing dungeons and it is important for you to manage your time wisely. Will you bond with your Confidant to deepen your relationship and unlock new skills? Will you be able to search the desert for supplies? Will you get stronger by training with your companions? Or are you going to ignore all of this and go to the dungeon at the first opportunity? It’s up to you to decide, but remember that time is running out.
Explore dungeons
The dungeons you will explore are filled with mystery and danger. As the deadline draws near, you’ll need to quickly overcome traps, puzzles, and dancing mini-games to get out in time. Fortunately, you have your confidants by your side to help you when the going gets scary.
Animated cutscenes
With Eternights, we want you to immerse yourself and truly connect with the characters you spend time with. We’ve designed several fully animated 2D cutscenes that change depending on who you decide to hang out with.
I hope you enjoyed this first look at our first game. As a storyteller, I’ve always wanted to mix a love story with adrenaline-charged action. I wanted players to have a strong, personal reason to push them forward in battles and to feel like they were fighting for more than just their own survival – they were fighting for the ones they love.
Eternights will launch on PS5 and PS4 early next year. We can’t wait to show you more about the game, so stay tuned for more updates between now and launch.
